Navigating Challenges While Building a Dream: A Young Entrepreneur’s Journey

As I stand at the threshold of adulthood, freshly graduated from high school, I find myself grappling with feelings of uncertainty and pressure. At just 20 years old, I have embarked on a journey to create a better life for myself, but not without significant challenges.

My mother, a resilient woman who has single-handedly raised me since I was ten, is skeptical about the world of online work. Her firm belief in traditional paths to success often leaves me feeling misunderstood. Despite her unwavering support and love, I can feel the tension rising between us. She envisions a future for me that includes conventional jobs in countries like Saudi Arabia or Qatar, where many of our peers seek opportunities. While I understand her perspective, especially given our background in a developing country, I wish she could see the potential in what I am building.

Recently, I founded Dolphy Studio, a video editing agency dedicated to serving founders and service-oriented businesses. The passion I have for this venture drives me to work 12 to 14 hours a day, pouring my heart and soul into every project. So far, I’ve managed to secure one client and, thankfully, can cover my family’s expenses, but the journey has been more challenging than I anticipated. The results I desire are eluding me, and I often feel like I’m running in place.

The pressure to make things work is compounded by my relationship with my girlfriend, who is beginning to express her frustration. She deserves my time and attention, yet the demands of my startup consume most of my waking hours. I find myself striving to create a life of stability and success, not only for myself but for the sake of our future together. The weight of these responsibilities feels immense and often overwhelming.

To generate leads, I’ve shifted my focus to LinkedIn content creation, hoping to attract clients organically. Cold emailing has not yielded the results I had hoped for, and the slow pace of progress is disheartening. Each day brings new challenges, and I often feel as though I am carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.

If you’ve navigated a similar path, how did you cope during the early stages of your journey? I know that building something meaningful takes time, and I am committed to my vision of long-term freedom rather than chasing instant success. Any advice or encouraging words would be invaluable during this pivotal time in my life. While the road ahead is
