As I stand at the threshold of adulthood, freshly graduated from high school, I find myself grappling with feelings of uncertainty and pressure. At just 20 years old, I have embarked on a journey to create a better life for myself, but not without significant challenges.
My mother, a resilient woman who has single-handedly raised me since I was ten, is skeptical about the world of online work. Her firm belief in traditional paths to success often leaves me feeling misunderstood. Despite her unwavering support and love, I can feel the tension rising between us. Recently, I founded Dolphy Studio, a video editing agency dedicated to serving founders and service-oriented businesses. The passion I have for this venture drives me to work 12 to 14 hours a day, pouring my heart and soul into every project. She deserves my time and attention, yet the demands of my startup consume most of my waking hours.
