Where to Find Your First Paying SaaS Users
As the creator of a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution designed to combat the persistent issue of bot traffic, I’ve reached a pivotal phase in my entrepreneurial journey. After developing a product that addresses my own challenges, I’m now turning my attention to the crucial task of attracting genuine users.
The product is functional, and the next step involves determining the most effective channels for user acquisition. I’ve initiated several strategies to gauge their potential success, including:
- Engaging with startup discussions and developer communities on platforms such as Reddit
- Participating in Facebook groups tailored for small business owners
- Conducting direct outreach to website owners who may benefit from my service
Additionally, I’m exploring the possibility of running small-budget advertising campaigns, though I’m uncertain about where to allocate these resources effectively.
At this stage, I am keen to learn from the experiences of others who have successfully navigated the initial stages of user acquisition for their SaaS products. Specifically, I’m interested in understanding which strategies yielded the best results in securing the first 10 to 50 paying customers. Was it through compelling content, targeted advertisements, cold outreach, or perhaps another method altogether?
