Title: Hitting Milestones with Dailies: Seeking Insights for Future Growth

As a developer, I’m excited to share the progress of my new habit-tracking application, Dailies. After a period of stagnation with just around ten paying users, a recent pivot has yielded promising results, and I am eager to gather insights from those more experienced in the field.

Listening to user feedback proved invaluable. This led me to introduce a couple of key features: a social component that encourages users to engage in their habits collaboratively and a streamlined dashboard that allows for easier tracking of progress. To my delight, these enhancements have positively impacted user engagement and helped grow the user base from ten to seventeen paying subscribers. While this may seem modest, it feels like a significant milestone in my journey.

The social dimension has notably enhanced user interaction, prompting me to consider integrating similar features into other critical areas of the app. However, I find myself at a crossroads regarding my next steps. With the initial traction gained, I’m contemplating several potential paths forward:

  1. Enhance the Social Feature: Should I continue to invest in and expand the social aspects of the app to further boost engagement?

  2. Focus on Marketing: Is it time to ramp up marketing efforts to attract more users and capitalize on the current growth momentum?

  3. Iterate on the Core Product: Should I prioritize refining the core functionalities of Dailies before expanding further?

As someone who is navigating the early stages of growth, I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to effectively scale my app. Insights regarding growth strategies, promotional activities, or lessons learned from early experiences would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you for your support as I continue to develop Dailies!

  • Congratulations on reaching this important milestone! It’s inspiring to see thoughtful pivots like adding social features that directly respond to user feedback—often a key to boosting engagement early on. Given your current growth from 10 to 17 paying users, I’d recommend a balanced approach: continue refining your core product to ensure a seamless user experience and high value, while gradually investing in targeted marketing to expand your reach.

In particular, consider leveraging viral loops introduced by your social features—perhaps incentivize sharing or collaborative challenges—to organically increase user acquisition without substantial upfront ad spend. Additionally, experimenting with referral programs or engaging content can create momentum.

From a growth perspective, it may also be worth exploring micro-conversions, such as free trial periods or tiered plans, to lower entry barriers and convert more users. To sustain and accelerate growth, continuously iterate based on user feedback, while prioritizing features that have clear engagement or retention impact.

Finally, keep an eye on retention metrics—sustainable growth comes from not just attracting new users but keeping existing ones engaged. Combining product iteration with smart marketing can set a solid foundation for scaling your app effectively. Best of luck with Dailies—I look forward to seeing your progress!
