Title: Exciting News: Secured $5,000 in AWS Credits for My LegalTech Venture!
I am thrilled to announce that I have secured $5,000 in AWS credits for my LegalTech startup! A big thank you to Mercury Bank for their support in this journey. It seems that many banks have partnerships with AWS, making it accessible for various entrepreneurs like myself.
The necessity for AWS arises from the high sensitivity surrounding privacy in the legal field. While I currently utilize Hetzner for many of my services due to its cost-effectiveness, AWS’s EC2 platform offers robust compliance features that are crucial for legal professionals. With SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance, AWS ensures that my clients’ data is managed with the highest level of security.
My current application, “Mores,” is hosted on Hetzner, but my clients are requesting dedicated web domains and isolated servers tailored just for them. They prefer having their own EC2 instances, S3, RDS, and more. This move aligns perfectly with their desire for increased privacy and security.
Additionally, AWS Bedrock provides access to advanced inference APIs with a strong commitment to data privacy, including a no-retention and no-training-on-your-data policy agreement. This gives me access to cutting-edge models like Claude, known for its exceptional performance, while ensuring that their data remains confidential. The platform also offers embedding models that can be used across various applications, although my Mores app currently relies on OpenAI embeddings.
I am confident that the $5,000 credit will be sufficient to support my operations for the next three to four months as I navigate this exciting phase of development. Currently, I am in discussions with law firms specializing in personal injury law in Northern California. If anyone knows of any firms—large or small—that might be interested in joining me on this journey as a design partner, I would greatly appreciate a warm introduction. It’s important for me to align this product to meet market needs effectively, and feedback from real users is invaluable.
While I currently have no marketing budget, I am taking a grassroots approach to build awareness and drive engagement. Mores has a powerful and versatile engine, making it applicable across various legal verticals—not just personal injury law. Your support in sharing this journey is greatly appreciated!
Stay tuned for more updates as I progress in the development of this impactful solution for the legal community.

Congratulations on securing the AWS credits—this is a significant step forward for your LegalTech startup! Your strategic approach to leveraging AWS’s compliance features, such as SOC 2 and HIPAA, is crucial given the sensitivity of legal data. Moving from Hetzner to dedicated AWS instances for clients not only enhances security and privacy but also aligns well with industry best practices in legal tech, where data sovereignty and confidentiality are paramount.
Additionally, exploring AWS Bedrock’s privacy commitments alongside the cutting-edge AI models like Claude offers great potential for delivering secure, high-performing solutions. It’s encouraging to see your emphasis on user feedback and market fit, especially in such a nuanced field as law. As you refine Mores, consider the scalability aspects and how AWS’s various services can support rapid growth while maintaining the rigorous security standards legal clients require.
Looking forward to seeing how your platform evolves and impacts the legal community—best of luck with the partnerships and development!
