Title: Launching an On-Demand Consultation App: Our Journey and Next Steps for Growth
I am thrilled to announce the launch of my pay-per-minute consultation app, ConsultEase, which recently achieved some significant milestones. Our application is now live on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store in India, and has garnered over 100 downloads on Google Play and more than 50 downloads on the Apple App Store. We have successfully onboarded 50 consultants, including lawyers and chartered accountants, and secured our first two paying users—all without investing a single rupee in advertising.
The concept behind ConsultEase is straightforward yet innovative. Many consultants find themselves frequently answering inquiries on platforms like WhatsApp or through calls, often without any compensation. At the same time, individuals seeking professional advice are willing to pay for genuine and accurate consultations. Our app bridges this gap by allowing users to connect with experts instantly, paying by the minute. There’s no need for prior appointments or physical meetings—users simply open the app, see which consultants are available, and can make a call, conveniently billed for the time used.
Developing this app was not without its challenges; I have rebuilt the project from the ground up four times. I plan to share more about these hurdles and this iterative development process in a future post.
Currently, our primary objective is to onboard more consultants, especially in the fields of law, tax, and finance. Here are the strategies we’ve implemented thus far to attract consultants:
- Manual Outreach: We have personally reached out to lawyers via Instagram and LinkedIn, avoiding spammy direct messaging.
- Engagement on Social Media: By responding to relevant posts with thoughtful comments instead of automated messages, we have built a personal connection with potential collaborators.
- Contextual Messaging: Utilizing personalized messages based on the recipient’s work and background.
- Founder-Driven Initiatives: All outreach efforts have been led by me, without any automation—this personal touch has fostered trust and engagement.
As we stand at this nascent stage of growth, I am seeking insights and advice from those who have successfully scaled their apps. Specifically, I have three areas where I am looking for guidance:
- Organic Growth Strategies: How can we scale our user base without budgeting for paid advertising?
- Attracting Quality Consultants: What approaches can we adopt to ensure we onboard experienced and reputable consultants?
- Engaging Potential Clients: What methods can be effective in reaching individuals actively seeking consultations?
While we are still in the early phases, the validation from our two paying customers has reinforced our belief in this app’s potential. I welcome any constructive feedback or suggestions, as well as any experiences you may share. Thank you for your time, and I am more than happy to provide links to ConsultEase should you wish to explore further.

Congratulations on launching ConsultEase and achieving early traction organically—that’s a testament to your dedication and the relevance of your value proposition. To scale without paid advertising, consider leveraging community-building strategies: create thought leadership content—such as webinars, blog posts, or Q&A sessions—that addresses common pain points faced by both professionals and users; this can establish your platform as a trusted authority. Engaging in niche online forums, specialized LinkedIn groups, or industry-specific communities can organically boost visibility and credibility.
Regarding attracting experienced and reputable consultants, consider developing referral partnerships with professional associations or licensing bodies—these organizations often have vested interests in promoting reputable experts. Offering incentivized referral programs or recognition badges on your platform can also motivate high-caliber professionals to join and stay active.
For engaging potential clients actively seeking consultations, targeted content marketing can be highly effective—sharing success stories, case studies, or quick tips relevant to user needs can attract organic traffic. Additionally, leveraging SEO strategies around common legal, tax, or financial queries can help your platform surface in organic search results when users look for immediate advice.
Finally, focus on building trust through excellent user experience, transparent pricing, and verified consultant profiles. As your platform grows, consider implementing community features such as reviews or ratings that can help ensure quality and reassure new users. Combining these organic strategies with a continuous focus on quality and trust will position ConsultEase for sustainable growth.
