Facing employment uncertainty, my wife and I decided to pivot and relocate to Florida, seeking new opportunities amid a booming housing market.

During this period, I recognized an opportunity: starting a cleaning business. With only $500 in equipment and a relentless work ethic, I set out to establish the business from scratch. Despite initial challenges, I gained momentum, and things looked promising.

However, life threw a curveball in the form of Hurricane Ian, which devastated our rental home in Florida. Facing displacement, my wife and I decided to return to North Carolina. Initially, I believed the market for cleaning services was limited here, leading me to consider finding a traditional job.

I applied to over fifty companies, but the response was nonexistentΓÇöno callbacks, no interviews. With only $4,000 in savings left to sustain us, desperation pushed me to revisit my cleaning business. In November, I re-entered the North Carolina market, determined to make it work despite fears of financial instability.

Building Momentum and Long-Term Success

The first few months were slow. I found myself counting the days until our savings would be depleted. Yet, persistence paid off. Gradually, I secured new clients, and the business began to grow steadily. Six months later, not only am I supporting my family comfortably, but I am also able to save significantly each month.
