I have a hard time getting out of bed early—except when there’s something at stake. For instance, I always wake up on time for work because being late could damage my reputation and eventually jeopardize my job.

However, this motivation seems to vanish on weekends and holidays!

I came up with an app concept to tackle this issue. The idea is simple: I’d deposit a small amount, say $10, and in return, I’d be required to check in at a specific location, like a coffee shop I choose the night before, by 8 a.m. If I don’t make it on time, I would lose the deposit.

I think an app like this could really help kickstart my mornings! Does anyone know if something similar already exists? Do you think this concept could be effective?
