After dedicating 14 years to wedding photography, I can confidently say that the actual shooting of weddings is merely the tip of the iceberg. The real challenge lies in managing the chaos that surrounds the wedding planning process. From constantly changing timelines to navigating numerous group chats for each couple, the complexity can quickly become overwhelming.
In my experience, managing communication through various platforms like emails, DMs, WhatsApp, and iMessage adds to the confusion. This complexity is further heightened during multi-day ethnic weddings, where the stakes and details multiply.
I have explored several popular Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as HoneyBook, Studio Ninja, 17hats, Dubsado, and Pixieset. However, I found these platforms to be generic and ill-suited to the way weddings—especially multi-day ethnic weddings—actually operate. Frustrated by this gap in the market, I took it upon myself to create a solution tailored to my specific needs.
Thus, I developed a comprehensive workspace dedicated to each wedding. This platform integrates various essential components, including:
- Detailed timelines featuring real-time slots rather than mere notes
- A centralized messaging hub to streamline communication
- Coordination of all events related to the wedding, such as pre-events, ceremonies, and receptions
