Celebrating a Major Milestone: Our Startup’s First Revenue
Since launching our business in May 2020, I’ve balanced the challenges of entrepreneurship alongside a full-time career at an MEP firm. Over the past two months, my schedule has intensified to demanding 50-hour workweeks, underscoring the dedication required to bring this venture to life.
Throughout the last year, our journey has been marked by significant pivots, the departure of a co-founder, shifts in partnerships, and heartfelt conversations—most recently when my wife expressed her desire for me to prioritize more quality time together. Amid these personal and professional hurdles, reaching our first recurring sale has been a beacon of hope and validation.
With initial doubts about whether we would make it past summer, this sale has revitalized our efforts and proved that there is genuine demand for what we offer. It’s a testament to the resilience and relentless pursuit of understanding our market’s needs within our niche.
I am immensely proud of my team and myself for pushing through a relentless six-day workweek, continuously testing and refining our approach. This milestone reaffirms that perseverance and adaptability are key drivers of entrepreneurial success.
