Exploring Recurring Revenue Through SaaS Development: A Personal Journey

Recently, I embarked on developing a SaaS-style application designed around a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) model, motivated by the promising prospects this approach holds in 2026.
After approximately 45 days since launch, the results have been encouraging. The application has achieved an MRR of $570, demonstrating that even small-scale projects can develop a sustainable revenue stream independently. While this figure may not be life-changing, it underscores the potential for passive income through thoughtful tool development.
Throughout this process, I found great enjoyment in building and refining both the front end and back end of the application. My development stack includes Visual Studio Code for coding, Next.js for the frontend framework, Node.js for backend operations, and Vercel for deployment.
