Looking for a Business Student/Graduate in a Western University to Help with a Research Project (Summer Collaboration)

Seeking Collaboration: Business Student or Graduate for Summer Research Project

Hello readers!

I’m a high school student residing in Qatar, embarking on an exciting summer research project focused on the disparities in business education and career outcomes between Arab and Western universities. I’m reaching out in hopes of finding a dedicated business student or recent graduate from a Western institution who is interested in collaborating with me on this thought-provoking study.

Who Am I Looking For?

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in business or a recent graduate from a reputable Western university (including those in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, etc.).
  • A strong passion for business studies, alongside a curiosity for delving into deeper educational issues.
  • Availability to collaborate with me throughout the summer, ideally from June 27th to mid-July, or possibly extending until the end of August, depending on mutual availability.

Project Overview

The central question guiding my research is: Why do business graduates from Arab universities encounter more challenges in securing career opportunities, gaining respect, and achieving success compared to their counterparts from Western universities? Understanding the root causes of this disparity is crucial for both academic insights and practical implications.

How You Can Contribute

I am primarily seeking a research partner to assist in gathering survey responses or conducting interviews with business students and graduates in Western universities. Your role would be essential for comparing their experiences with those from the Arab world, as I will take charge of the Arab side of the research.

Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity, presented as a meaningful academic collaboration. Participating in this project can significantly enhance your portfolio, CV, or even strengthen your college applications. If you possess a genuine interest in business, education, or cross-cultural research, this could be an excellent fit for you.

One Comment

  • This is a fascinating and important research initiative that addresses a vital aspect of cross-cultural business education and career development. Exploring the underlying factors contributing to disparities between Arab and Western university graduates can offer valuable insights—not only for educators and policymakers but also for students navigating these diverse environments.

One aspect that might add depth to your study is examining the role of societal perceptions and employer biases in shaping career outcomes. For example, exploring how cultural trust in Western degrees versus Arab qualifications influences hiring decisions could provide a nuanced understanding of the challenges faced. Additionally, considering the impact of professional networks and internship opportunities within each context may shed light on structural advantages or barriers.

Collaborative research like this has the potential to foster greater awareness of cross-cultural educational inequalities and spark dialogues on how to bridge these gaps. Best of luck with your project—I look forward to seeing the insights it uncovers!
