Upon taking over the situation, we promptly completed necessary procedures including bank reconciliations and a thorough review of the general ledger, ultimately finalizing the accounts for a fraction of the previous fee—just £400. Yet, despite our efforts, the year’s profit was only £5,000.

The client was never informed about setting up a payroll system to withdraw a director’s salary of £12,570, which would have streamlined their financial situation and brought their corporate tax liability to zero. Now, instead of accessing funds legitimately, they face the dual burdens of corporate tax and potential late filing penalties.

It is disheartening to witness hardworking individuals being overcharged and underserved, not receiving the guidance they need to thrive.
