Exploring the Dynamics of Small Businesses and Social Media: Survey Participants Needed
Hello All,
I’m Lucy, a final-year student studying Media and Communications. I’m reaching out in search of participants for an important survey as part of my dissertation research.
What My Study is About
I’m focusing my research on how small businesses (with less than 50 employees) interact with social media platforms. In particular, I’m interested in understanding how these platforms affect business operations and growth.
Who Can Participate?
If you’re a small business owner or manage social media accounts for a small company, your feedback could significantly contribute to my research. Although your participation is completely voluntary, it would be invaluable to my study.
Your Contribution Matters
Participating in the survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes, and all responses will be kept completely anonymous. The insights gathered through this survey will play a crucial role in understanding the broader relationship between small businesses and social media.

Hi Lucy,
This is a fantastic initiative, and I’m glad to see you’re delving into such a relevant topic! The intersection of small businesses and social media is critical in today’s digital age, and your research could provide significant insights.
As a small business owner myself, I’ve noticed that social media not only enhances brand visibility but also enables better customer engagement and feedback. I’d be curious to know if your survey touches on how different platforms may serve distinct purposes for these businesses. For instance, are businesses using Instagram primarily for visual storytelling, while leaning on LinkedIn for professional networking and B2B outreach?
Additionally, exploring how small businesses adapt their strategies based on platform analytics could also be interesting. Many businesses may not realize the extent of data available to them, which can drastically shape their marketing efforts.
Best of luck with your dissertation, and I encourage any small business owners to get involved! It’s a great opportunity to contribute to academic research that could benefit the wider community.
Looking forward to your findings!
Warm regards,
