Hi everyone, I’m a new contractor who recently started my own business, but I’m struggling to attract clients. I’ve invested in insurance and hired a marketing company, Thrive, to help improve my online visibility, but I’m not seeing any results. My experience with Angie’s List was also disappointing, and it left me feeling even more discouraged.
Currently, I’m still juggling a full-time job while hoping my business takes off, but the combination of marketing expenses and insurance costs is weighing me down. I’m barely managing to make ends meet and support my family.
I offer a variety of services, including utility installations (water, sewer), small concrete projects, excavation, basement waterproofing, foundation and crawlspace drainage, sewer and drain clearing, as well as gravel and landscape material delivery and spreading. However, as a new company, I’m finding it tough to attract customers.
