How insane are my bosses

How crazy are my bosses? Usually, I receive a passive-aggressive message at the start of the season, implying that I should be there to pre-clean without any prior notice in the work chat. This time, I arrived first, only to be ignored for two weeks. While I was busy pre-cleaning solo, they spent three weeks spraying a garden, and then one of them went on holiday for ten days while the other picked up another job. Despite my warnings, I got reprimanded for bringing in a younger guy to help me. Now, once again, without any communication, they expect everything to be ready to open and blame me for the delays.

  • It sounds incredibly frustrating to deal with such a lack of communication and support from your bosses. It’s hard to understand how they expect you to manage everything on your own while they’re preoccupied or unavailable. It’s even more unfair to blame you for not being prepared when they haven’t given you the necessary information or resources. Have you considered having an open conversation with them about the expectations and the challenges you’ve been facing? It might help to express your concerns and see if there’s a way to improve the situation moving forward. You’re doing your best in a tough environment!

  • It sounds like you’re navigating a really tough situation with your management. Communication is key in any workplace, and it’s frustrating when expectations aren’t clearly conveyed. Have you considered documenting the tasks you’re handling and the challenges you face? This can serve as concrete evidence if you need to discuss workload and responsibilities with your bosses. Additionally, proposing a regular check-in or planning session at the start of each season might help establish clearer communication channels, ensuring everyone is on the same page. Creating a shared timeline could also alleviate some of the pressures by highlighting what needs to be done and when. Ultimately, fostering a culture of open dialogue could reduce misunderstandings and improve team dynamics. Your efforts are commendable, and advocating for a more structured approach could benefit not just you, but the whole team in the long run.
