Celebrating a Milestone: How Our Print-on-Demand Business Surpassed 50,000 Poster Sales

Launching a successful print-on-demand (PoD) company is no small feat, and I’m excited to share the journey that led to our recent achievement of processing over 50,000 posters. This milestone represents not just numbers, but a community of creators and entrepreneurs who, like us, have brought unique posters into the world—most of which wouldn’t have existed otherwise.

The Beginning of Our Print-on-Demand Adventure

My journey into the print-on-demand industry began in 2021. Initially, I started selling posters through Etsy, experiencing significant success early on. As a university student, I was earning what some might consider a remarkable income—an encouraging sign that this could be more than just a side hustle. However, the path wasn’t without challenges. I faced hurdles such as account bans due to copyright infringements, which taught me valuable lessons about compliance and originality in the industry.

Evolving and Expanding in Thailand

After my initial foray, I resumed selling posters, this time while living in Thailand. During this period, I began sharing my experiences on TikTok, where I built a modest following by documenting my journey as a self-employed print-on-demand seller. The engagement and feedback I received inspired me to think bigger.

The Birth of PrintShrimp

Seeing the demand and interest from my audience, I conceived the idea of creating a dedicated print-on-demand company—PrintShrimp. With a network of trusted poster printers established over years of experience in the industry, my friend and I decided to formalize this venture. Approximately a year and a half ago, we launched PrintShrimp with the goal of streamlining the poster printing process and helping others succeed in this niche.

Building from the Ground Up

The journey has been filled with learning curves, mistakes, and growth. Despite the challenges, the entire platform—and the business—was built by just the two of us. Our approach has always emphasized community and education: we offer free training and resources to empower aspiring poster sellers. The principle is simple—we profit when our clients succeed, which aligns our goals and allows us to provide genuine value.
