Understanding the Allure of Corporate Work: A Personal Reflection

After spending eight fulfilling years at a small organization with a flat structure, I transitioned to a Fortune 500 company, where my experiences were far from positive. My Background
For nearly a decade, I enjoyed my role in a compact organization of about 200 employees, where the hierarchy was uncomplicated—essentially a three-tier system. Employees reported directly to their supervisors, fostering a sense of collaboration and support within the team. The focus was clearly on performance, innovation, and collective success.
In stark contrast, my recent experience in a large corporation highlighted a different work culture, fraught with challenges. Instead of teamwork, I encountered a competitive atmosphere characterized by sabotage, rumors, and a culture of withholding information.
