As I approach my 16th birthday in a couple of months, I find myself reflecting on my entrepreneurial aspirations. My journey into the world of business started with creating bracelets and necklaces, a venture my mother has wholeheartedly supported. However, the reality of limited sales has led to more losses than gains. Now, I’m eager to restart my efforts and expand my creativity beyond just jewelry.

Despite my enthusiasm, I face a significant hurdle: my mother has decided that I should no longer purchase materials for my business, fearing that it may be a wasted investment. Don’t get me wrong; I fully appreciate her concerns. She has poured time and resources into my budding business, believing in my artistic abilities and creativity. However, her worries stem from the fact that most items I’ve crafted have sold for only a modest price—up to ÂŁ5 at most.

What I seek now is not just permission to buy supplies but a strategy to demonstrate to my mother that taking another leap could truly benefit my business. I know that I need to change the trajectory of my sales and prove that this venture is not just a fleeting hobby but a meaningful opportunity for growth.
