Launching My Web and App Development Business: Seeking Guidance
Hello everyone,
My name is Danish, and Iβve been immersed in the world of mobile and web development for several years now. My expertise lies primarily in technologies like Flutter, React Native, Node.js, and MongoDB. While Iβve successfully delivered numerous projects for clients, I am now excited to take the leap into entrepreneurship and start my own development business.
As I venture into this new chapter, I find myself navigating the early stages of establishing my service-based company. There are various aspects Iβm tackling from the ground up, and Iβm eager to make the right choices as I lay the foundation. Currently, Iβm focused on the following:
- Creating a unique and meaningful business name rather than opting for something generic.
- Securing a domain name and designing an appealing portfolio website.
- Defining the core services I want to offer, such as custom applications, MVPs, and websites.
- Developing essential brand components, including a logo, tagline, and establishing a presence on social media.
Since Iβm bootstrapping this endeavor alone, Iβm being particularly mindful of how I allocate my time and budget.
I would love to tap into the experiences of those who have walked a similar path. I have a few lingering questions:
- How did you come up with a name that truly represented your brand?
- Did you specialize right away, or did you accept a broader range of projects initially?
- Looking back, are there any decisions you wish you hadnβt made during your setup phase?
- What tools do you recommend for managing portfolios, proposals, contracts, or client tracking?
- How did you determine the right moment to start reaching out to potential clients?
Iβm open to any insights, tips, or suggestions, even those that may not have crossed my mind yet. My goal is to establish a strong presence in the market without rushing through these crucial early steps.
Thank you for taking the time to read my postβI truly appreciate any advice you can offer!
