The Situation at Hand

I have a shipment consisting of 31 boxes of underwear, weighing a total of 1,200 pounds, that was sent from Hong Kong to Vancouver. Unfortunately, this shipment has been stuck in customs for the past four days without any substantial updates from FedEx. The only communication I’ve had from them was that a specific representative would contact me about my case—this only happened today after an exasperating delay.

Upon finally hearing back, I was met with vague responses. While I sought clarity on what needed to be done to expedite the release, I was simply informed that the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) stated I had not posted a necessary bond with them.

Understanding the RPP Program Dilemma

As someone enrolled in the Registered Importer Program (RPP), I expected smoother sailing. However, FedEx has been unable to provide me with critical information regarding the bond amount required.
