I propose launching a straightforward paid matching service that connects older individuals with students in the UK. This service could offer valuable experiences for students, particularly those studying healthcare, while also helping them earn some extra income to support their studies. The service would charge £20 per hour, with students receiving £11, and the remaining amount would cover essential costs such as DBS checks and insurance.

While there are existing companion services, they often get overshadowed by a myriad of other care offerings. I believe that by providing a consistent and reliable service, we can make a real difference for both older adults and students.
