Starting a Nonprofit to Empower Mothers in Need: Seeking Insights and Resources

Hello everyone,

My name is Sheri, and I wear multiple hats as a mother, student, and the driving force behind Enough For Her—a budding nonprofit dedicated to supporting mothers facing challenging times. Our mission is to provide crucial assistance, including help with rent, access to baby essentials, job resources, and more.

As I’m in the foundational phase of establishing our nonprofit (with 501c3 status pending), I’m currently managing everything on my own. This includes navigating legal paperwork, budgeting, setting up our digital presence, and gearing up for fundraising. Needless to say, the journey has been an insightful and steep learning curve!

I’m reaching out to seek advice from those who have experience in launching a nonprofit or a mission-driven startup. Specifically, I’m curious about:
– Which cost-effective tools or platforms were beneficial to you in the early stages?
– In hindsight, what would you change about your initial 90 days?
– Are there any particular templates or resources that you found invaluable for operations, planning, or branding?

This initiative is a labor of love, and I am committed to establishing it as a credible and lasting entity. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or wisdom that this community could provide!

Warm regards,

Sheri
