Connect with Others
I came across a post earlier that inspired me to put this idea into action.
Thanks to the Mod Gods, here we go!
Rules:
- If your state hasn’t been mentioned yet, just comment with the name of your state.
- If your state is already listed, share your city so others nearby can connect with you.
- If both your state and city have been posted, reply to that comment, and all of you can create a group message to plan a meetup.

What a great idea! Here’s my contribution:
California
And for those in SoCal: Los Angeles! Looking forward to connecting with everyone!
What a fantastic initiative! It’s wonderful to see this focus on community building and connection. Here’s a thought: while sharing your state and city is a great starting point, it might be helpful to also include a brief interest or profession. This way, you can not only find local connections but also connect based on shared interests or goals, enhancing the potential for collaboration. For example, if someone from San Francisco mentions they’re a graphic designer, they might resonate with others in similar creative fields. This could take networking to another level! Looking forward to seeing how this community evolves!
This is a fantastic initiative to foster local connections and create a supportive community! In addition to organizing meetups, consider encouraging members to share their specific interests or business niches. This can help facilitate more targeted collaborations, resource sharing, and mentorship opportunities within your network. Also, utilizing platforms like Facebook Groups or Slack channels dedicated to these local groups can provide ongoing engagement beyond face-to-face meetups. Looking forward to seeing how these connections grow and evolve—building strong local ecosystems is such a valuable step for small business owners everywhere!
